After that, blades are stropped by hand on leather with stropping compound.

Benchstone sharpening for high-end kitchen knives. Done on a full stone progression up to ultrafine (8000 grit).
After that, blades are stropped by hand on leather with stropping compound.
Pocket & Utility Knives
Power Sharpening
Typical sharpening for pocket knives and utility fixed blades. Machine based sharpening done on a belt grinder with belts up to 600 grit plus stropping belts.
The resulting edge will be shaving sharp.
Advanced Power Sharpening
Advanced power sharpening for pocket knives and utility fixed blades. Machine based sharpening done on a grinder with full belt progression up to 6000 grit plus stropping belts, plus manual stropping on leather.
The resulting edge has a high polish and is shaving sharp.
Manual Sharpening
Manual sharpening for pocket knives and utility fixed blades. Handmade sharpening done on a KME fixed-angle system up to 600 grit plus a run on power stropping belts.
This produces a highly regular V-shaped cutting edge that is shaving sharp.

Mirror Polished Edge

We give the V-edge a highly polished finish with lapping films up to 0.1 micron.
Edge Reprofiling
Extra option for Manual Sharpening
Change the angle of the edge bevel to suit your needs.

Machine based sharpening for various tools like scissors, chisels, axes, and lawn mower blades. Done on a belt grinder with belts up to 600 grit plus stropping belts.

Pocket Knives - Clean & Service
We disassemble, clean and lubricate folding tools. If you prefer the tools not to be disassembled, please let us know in the order notes.
We use blue loctite when reassembling tools.

Beyond our standard sharpening services, we carry out most types of work on knives and bladed tools.
